I built CheckControl while working operational shifts in leisure. I have used the clipboards, looked for the missing sheet, chased a handover and tried to work out whether a check was actually completed or only assumed.
The product is designed around that reality: staff need a simple list on the device already in their hand, while managers need a clear record without turning every check into more admin.
I wanted the record to be useful after someone pressed submit. If a check was missed, it needed to be visible. If somebody found a fault, the explanation and photo needed to stay with it. And when a manager came back to review the week, they needed to be able to find the person, the answer and what happened next.
That is why the reports are such a big part of CheckControl. The aim is to make everyday checks straightforward for the team and give managers a history they can actually use—on screen, in Excel or as a PDF.
