LESSON 1 OF 3

Before you start

Confirm you are on the correct site and shift. Review the handover and any restricted areas. Use the current approved site procedure. If you have not been trained for a task, stop and ask the duty manager before attempting it.

FROM A PROCEDURE TO PREPARED PEOPLE

Make the training part
of the working day.

01

Build the lesson

Write the procedure in your own words. Add photos and documents, or link to a short video, then connect the lesson to the related check.

02

Assign the right people

Assign a course to named staff, an operational role or the site. Set a due date and see who still needs to complete it.

03

Check understanding

Use knowledge questions and feedback. Where needed, a supervisor observes the task before recording practical assessment.

04

Keep the record

Record authorisation and refresher dates. Updated courses keep a new version without overwriting earlier training evidence.

FOUR DISTINCT RECORDS

  1. 01

    Read

Staff acknowledge the version they have read.

  2. 02

    Understand

Knowledge questions show what they understood.

  3. 03

    Demonstrate

A supervisor records the practical observations.

  4. 04

    Authorise

A manager records the decision and refresher date.

BUILT AROUND THE ACTUAL TASK

“I’ve read it”
is only the start.

Reading acknowledgement, knowledge results, practical observations and manager authorisation are recorded separately. Your managers can see the stage each person has reached.

  • Lessons stay linked to the relevant check or guide.
  • Staff can revisit their assigned course while doing the work.
  • Training registers and evidence PDFs are available to export.
  • Changed procedures can be reviewed and republished as a new course version.

Your organisation defines the training and competent assessment required. A course record is not an external qualification.

LEARNING AND CHECKS, TOGETHER

Try the whole journey.

Open a lesson as a staff member, answer the knowledge questions, then switch to the manager’s view to see the progress.
